About myself

My name is Lucy Brind and I've been a Beauty and Complementary therapist for 4 years. At a young age my mum and I used to enjoy attending local reiki events. I found them very relaxing and intriguing how the therapist could read my body energy to identify problems and balance them out. The treatments were so inspiring that they led me to study other complementary therapies at college. I have qualifications in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Swedish body massage and Deep muscle massage. Whilst studying Complementary therapy, I had the most incredible tutors, who I owe my success to as they have made me the therapist I am today. They shared fantastic knowledge from experience, as well as supplying continuous encouragement, even now! I was very honoured to win a "student of the year" award. From here, I went on to study Beauty therapy and later Reiki level 1 and 2.

Since qualifying I have worked within spa environments offering luxury treatments. l worked within the Qhotels group at the Cheltenham Chase hotel for just over 2 years. Here I won a "Therapist of the year" award out of all of the hotels across the UK.  I later went on to work at a beautiful luxury spa in the Cotswolds, known as Calcot Manor Spa. This lovely spa oozed of relaxation and standards to the highest degree. I really developed as a therapist here as it gave me the confidence to know my treatment technique matched their high standards expected by clients.

Whilst working within the Spa industry I have etablished my own independant business where I can focus my skills on helping others and improving lifestyles on a whole. I have met some lovely clients who I continue to see on a regular basis and I really enjoy being a part of their life journey to keep them relaxed when those difficult periods arise.

My Philosophy

In todays modern society the average adult experiences personal stresses on a daily basis. Mental illness has seen an increase and more cases are becoming common. It can be a rare occurance that people take time out to concentrate on their general wellbeing and are instead relying on working long hours to provide for their families. It can be difficult sometimes to even be aware the body is under stress. Its not until you physically stop that you start to notice. When stressed the body releases a hormone called cortisol. High levels of this hormone can cause a number of problems within the body; a weakened immune system, weight gain, high blood pressure, sluggish digestion even memory function can decrease. So this is why I stress the importance of my philosophy: Take a moment....

My treatments provide that moment of peace that everyone needs. Aromatherapy and reflexology in particular have the potential to target specific concerns that are affecting someones life.
